UNASHAMED BEYOND a SINGULAR DAY
I just got home from church and outside of my place was a retired Easter basket. I say "retired" because you can tell it served its purpose for that one day of the year--Easter Sunday--to hold the contents of chocolate and other choice Easter candies. But now, this basket that once held goodies is presently holding emptiness. It was only "filled up" for the day, and sadly, so it seems, it did not live...
a DYING WORLD needs a LIVING LORD
John 3:16! I know you know it because it is one of the most recited, googled, and memorized verses in the entire Bible. It can be seen in the backdrop of some of the largest sporting events as a sign or even etched on fans as face-paint (inspired by Tim Tebow of course). He found it necessary to show them “His hands and His side” (John 20:20) as the evidence of His presence. Why would He do that? He could have shown Himself in bodily perfection, but instead He chose to show proof of His humiliation. His scars told the story....
SO FAR, SO GOOD
"Dear Heavenly Father, so far today I am doing very well. I have not lied or complained. I have not looked down upon my neighbors nor have I gossiped about others. So far, so good Heavenly Father, but I know I am going to need Your utmost help for the rest of my day. I am asking You now for that guidance because I’m gonna have to get out of bed soon. Amen."
