You can hide your scars from the light or you can choose to highlight your scars. Why show them off? Because your scars may be the very resemblance of healing that somebody else needs to see in order to be set free. And shame only exists when you care what other people think about you. But grace is the result of knowing what it is God thinks about you. Even Jesus showed off His scars--and because of the cross--His scars are covering ours. "As He spoke, He showed them the wounds in His hands and His side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord!" (John 20:20)
